There are moments in life when you realise exactly what it is you must do if you are to be a better person.

Some people decide they must eat vegetables. Some people get married. Some people come to the conclusion that they must burn their material possessions. Some people work in soup halls.

Today I realised that I must speak English as my second language.

Then I can say things like, "It is outmost important that we make deep interaction via telephone", or when I try to explain to someone that they are looking rather playful I can say, "No, it is not that your cheeks are fat, but you are looking clever for naughty things".

And then I will be impossibly cute and lovable. Which will make me, obviously, a better person.
